Unlike other e-mail clients that cannot manage attachments and HTML based e-mails, AccelTree’s mail client works in tandem with the AccelTree Mail Manager at the server-side, to provide the business user all the tools required to handle a business e-mail while on the move. AccelTree's client pulls the message part of the mail to the client while keeping the attachments on the AccelTree Mail Manager server. However, the user is informed on what the attachments are. These attachments are affixed back to the mail when it is forwarded.
- Mails with HTML display are also retained at the server side while a non-HTML and readable view is displayed on the client device. Again, when the mail is forwarded or replied to, the original mail is picked from the server.
- The address book at the server can be accessed by the mobile user - a feature not supported by standard e-mail clients.
