The solution allows a camera on a phone to be used to capture displays of packaged consumer goods in retail outlet shelves. In addition, various observations on the display such as position of different SKUs and their orientation can be input. The image and observations are transferred online to a central server for subsequent matching with approved standards. This application finds maximum use in the context of “Modern Trade”.
